Perfect and lovely
The evening started out simple enough. I went to jazzercise, stopped and talked to my best neighbor friend for a few minutes and came home to snack on almonds. Then Thomas finished work and made cocktails for us, we chatted and had another. We watched a little tv and when the show ended Thomas said let's take a walk on the beach. OK. The air was warm and the sand was damp and cool. The pier was a golden glow. What a night, what a lovely night.

Time for bed

I had high hopes for my blog today but I think this cuddlebug needs me. And my 2011 IKEA needs me too.

Bite your tongue

I discovered today that I worry about more projects than one of my client even remembers he gave me which as far as I can tell I means one of two things. One is that I am an awesome organized freelancer and in charge of the projects at hand to the point that my client doesn't need to think about them after he passes them to me. Bang! The second reason is that I worry about everything to the point of physical exhaustion and that makes me a crazed stressbag. Boo! Only Lola knows the truth and she's not talking.

Greetings from my weekend

What is that? Blue sky? Where have you been hiding? I have totally been missing the sunshine in SoCal. We've been hit with May Gray, the usual June Gloom and now we made it all the way through July with only a handful of sunny days. I feel depleted of energy and of warm summer sun. Saturday started with the gloomiest gray drizzle and my girlfriend and I made fun of the vacationers hauling their loads to the beach while we sipped hot coffee and trolled garage sales. We thought there was no way the thick marine layer would clear but it did. And, suddenly I have energy again... and a new cappuccino machine... and a pale green kimono.
