When asked about how Heather designs patterns she replies, “I think about what I want to wear, then I design it!” Everything grows out of Heather’s love of art and nature. Heather grew up in crafty a home where she learned woodworking and sewing. In college, she spent her days poring over Van Gogh paintings at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and her nights surrounded by piles of tracing paper while perched at her drafting table. Today, Heather has a thriving garden, enjoys cooking and nature photography, and tries to use scissors regularly. Together with her husband, she has built a hardwood deck, replaced the rear axle of a Jaguar and successfully installed a steel roof. She lives in Southern California with her husband and two very large, very crazy dogs.
